The end of Violet Gray. Farewell and thanks for all the mud pies.

Thank goodness this is the end of Violet Gray because she is my least favorite Peanuts character.

This strip is a repeat of the 1992 strip so it doesn’t count as anything new. Violets last appearance was in 1996.

This is the last appearance of Violet and Patty; it is a common misconception that they last appeared in 1984 and 1976, respectively, but, they ceased to be featured characters after those years, only making occasional background appearances in the years to come (Violet appeared at around once or twice every year, while Patty once every year or two).

This is the beginning of five weeks of reruns when Schulz took the only vacation of his Peanuts career.
