Sadly, all pretty true. Any sort of healthcare without insurance is ridiculously expensive, without fail.
It does make me wonder why we even continue the charade at times. I mean, think about it—we have whole other companies whose basically one major purpose is to foot bills (at least in part) for us so us private citizens don’t have to. Without it, I guarantee the vast majority of people wouldn’t even use such healthcare services, because it’s just too expensive, depriving those healthcare services of business. It’s basically the world acknowledging it’s already too expensive to be practical if we really have to resort to such a thing in order to make it work.

I’ve always thought it was stupid that Medicare won’t cover dentistry. Keeping teeth in good shape prevents a number of medical issues.
