I’m more than a year behind and have been trying to catch up this week, and just happened to see your sad news. I had just been reading about your father-by-love and his love of math puzzles (I’m addicted to Trigons myself), and when I also read recently of your dad’s wisdom about the important things, I got a lump in my throat missing my wise witty dad. It’s a tremendous loss, losing parent(s), and society does not give us enough time and space for grieving especially because it’s “natural” to lose parents. Well, it may be “natural” (and according to my dad, preferable – “it would kill me to lose one of you”, he said), but it is still horrible and horribly hard. Be warned and warn Dan that sadness can keep hitting out of the blue from weird and different sources (even after 22 years). We are never old enough to lose our parents. Take all the time you need, and be gentle with yourself. Electronic hugs of sympathy…

The rerun will be new for me as I am a new reader. Besides ‘Family First’.
