Why the NFL is so popular is it doesn’t go forever. Play-offs are one and your done. More isn’t better. The international games take a home games from the fans. Have the owners offer to increase the rosters or the salary cap? Sometimes more isn’t better.

The league cares not a jot about player safety. They claim they do, but they’re not exactly telling the truth. Let’s have a team play on a Sunday, then play again Thursday. That’s concern for the safety and well being of the players? Players, sometimes, don’t seem to care about their fellow players safety. They do something stupid (swing a helmet at an opponent), the league suspends them (often not long enough), NFLPA steps in a files a grievance to have the suspension reduced. How about the player injured? Who, exactly, does his bidding? It’s a complete, and utter, joke.

Nothing anyone in a position to do something is truth spoken in the NFL. Until Sunday —Thursday fiascos are eliminated, I don’t want GODell or any of his minions mentioning safety

MLB’s version of that committee isn’t all that great either.

It’d be interesting to play 17 games with a 15-16 game limit on how many games each individual player can play. You’d get to see a few different players, and 2nd string quarterbacks would each get a game.

The only way it would work is canceling 2 exhibition games and add a 2nd bye week to the schedule along with probably adding 3 roster slots with the cap increasing by $3-5 million. The problem with that is that would put the start of the season in August meaning all of the August and September games will be in really hot weather. Or you start the season later and end at the end of Feb. instead of the start.
