Disability means I have no bedtime or set time to get up. Just as well since I have chronic insomnia. I have a nice new (less than 2 years old) adjustable bed with massage and I still don’t sleep more than 2 hours straight. My recliner with heat and massage doesn’t get me better sleep. It’s just as good, though.
I get up at 5 AM, work out and then go for a brisk 4-mile walk. Then I come back shower, dress and dash off for a 9-hour workday. Compensation: every other Friday off. Fortunately, I have a 20 minute-commute. Work is fast-paced and mentally challenging.
I have a class on Tuesday night, Wednesday is date night with my wife and girlfriend (It’s not what it sounds like: the woman is a good mutual friend) and another class on Thursday night.
So when 10 PM rolls around I sit down on my bed and go to sleep. Then my head hits the pillow.

Here’s a helpful hint, Aunty: switch off the TV, and your smartphone.

I love staying up late. The problem is getting up early.

You go to bed whilst the sun is somewhere over the yardarm? Say it isn’t so!

Go to bed early, wake up at 2 a.m., lay there for 2 and a half hours trying to go back to sleep. . .

Quit watching the 10:00 news – it scares me awake, too!

You probably have to wait for that last box of wine to kick in.

I go down about 11 PM, but I love to read and generally do so for 2 hours before shutting off the light.

I always go to bed early. It is seldom later than 2 AM.
