Where did Millie get the sock that she turned into her “Mister W” puppet?

Sigh. I remember when you could buy electronic parts at Radio Shack. And they knew you. From my perspective, they committed suicide by moving from selling what millions of amateurs wanted to selling batteries and earbuds to people who had many other choices. And yes, while making it as difficult as they possibly could to actually check out.

Certainly they drove ME away.

It used to tick me off when Radio Shack would ask me for my zip code when I paid in cash.

“Why doesn’t Radio Shack sell radios anymore?”

Why doesn’t MTV (Music TeleVision) play music videos anymore?

I always gave Radio Shack a fake name, address and phone number when I paid cash for anything in the store.

Invoking Radio Shack dates this strip. For younger readers, at one time, it was a retail outlet for all sorts of cool electronics. Ironically, it went by the wayside victimized in part by those same electronics when online shopping replaced many brick and mortar stores.
