It’s god to have the self-confidence to not let anyone tell you how you are. But it’s quite another thing to not have the self-preservation instinct to not take them seriously.
My school years were just like his. Constantly bullied or times when totally ignored. I preferred the ignored times….less physical pain. Even into college….when I would ask why they were doing or acting this way to me. I never got a reason other than Because….At my last high school reunion one of them laughed saying…. Remember the time we shoved you into that manure pile? I laughed Then poured my beer on his head. Yea! I said as I walked off….Hilarious!
