Most superheroes have backgrounds that require them to be at least above average in regards to physical fitness.
For example, Superman grew up on a farm, Frank Castle was Marine Corps infantry, and X-O Manowar is a time-displaced Viking warrior.
Couple this with the fact that a lot of heroes represent wish fulfillment on the part of the readers, and it’s no wonder why so many are reasonably fit and attractive.
