“Martha Arguello” was the birth name of Marty Links, creator of the comic strips “Bobby Sox” and “Emmy Lou” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marty_Links). Lovely shout-out.
Lucy couldn’t do this today - too many regulations on the use of live specimens. (I think they were originated by Science Fair judges accosted by ones that got loose.) <– correct use of loose.
