I have always said that “Won’t Power” is how I manage to stay slim, though I do indulge occasionally. The secret is to make up for the indulgence the very next day!
Roy is so me. I started a weight loss program January 2nd weighing in at 351… weighed in at 309lb this morning… I know the willpower-won’tpower thing all too well… I see a trigger food, and my body craves it with every fiber of my being… and have to stop myself…
I lost a third of my weight ten years ago, but I never needed to work that way. I’m happy to pig out on special occasions, but I can recover from it later. Last week my office had a blowout for World Nutella Day. I was happy to join in. It is true that we don’t have piles of doughnuts on a regular basis. I’ve never been one of those people who cuts doughnuts in half or even quarters.
You know, I am not sure why, but I enjoyed Rob more before he lost weight. Seems like he had more personality, he was funnier. Of course I’m glad he’s healthier now!

Could Roy be a future Green Lantern?

Apparently Roy is a super hero – he can change into the Incredible Bulk when fresh, warm, and sticky donuts are present.

I have plenty of willpower. It’s the won’t power that gets me into trouble.

I had a friend who told me will power doesn’t work in most cases, especially when you have diarrhea!

Like I say it’s not a thin person trying to get out..but a fatter one trying to get in…

Here lies the body of Mary Meek. / Her will was strong. / But her won’t was weak.

The other thing that may be motivating Roy is wanting to be around to see his children graduate college.

I’ve been at both ends of the spectrum too many times – even now at the wrong end. It’s tough.

Losing weight is tough. Keeping it off is tougher. I know after several times.
