a hardly adequate, but surely delicious, punishment would be to require pete rose to wear a 2017 astros uniform whenever he goes out in public for the rest of his life.
I have a simple punishment, which is completely appropriate.
For the entire season, the Astros’ catchers must inform the opposing batters of the pitch they just sent in, so that the batters know what’s coming. Every single time.
I hope I’m wrong about this, but I have a feeling that the Astros batters are gonna see a lot of beanballs this season. Hopefully no one gets seriously hurt.
Suspend all the players and managers and coaches who benefited from the cheating for a year, forfeit all Astro’s games this year and vacate the WS winner for that year. Or bean each Astro every game.
I’m not sure if any of the commenters besides me have actually BEEN beaned, but you know what? It HURTS like hell, and I was pretty damn lucky to escape without any busted (which hurt more than broken) bones. Let’s all remember that “the sins of the fathers” adage…….
It ain’t over folk, the Red Sox are still on tap. It will be interesting to see what Bob (Softie) Manfred will do, because Sox are the darlings of MLB TV. Actually what might satisfy everyone, is both teams being banned from post season play for maybe two seasons. It’s done in college basketball, so why not after this kerfuffle?

The covering up by both teams & players regarding PED use was much bigger, and a health issue; so all the outrage is silly.

I wonder if the average fan, season ticket holder, or paying customer, knows what is going on?

Teams have been stealing signs for years. Heck we even did it in HS baseball.
