Everyone deserves at least one day to laze around. Mine was on Sunday. Told my husband on Saturday that I planned to take “me-time” on Sunday and part of that was being able to sleep in until I felt the need to get up. He’s such a keeper (been together for 13 years) that he did the obligatory nodding of the head in agreement. Sure enough, Sunday morning I heard our son up and hubby making sure he got his breakfast with hushed whispers to not disturb me. They let me sleep in for a long while until I got up and the day resumed as usual. I love my family!!! It had been a long time since I had one of those days.
And that’s why we have kids. Although kids today have it easy. In my day we’d have to get up and change the channel many times. Today they just have to find the remote once. Then again, Adam’s kids will have to bring him coffee many, many, many, many times.
When I was in 7th grade and up, I had to be out the door to catch the bus by 6:45. My mother didn’t have to start getting ready until 7. So every morning, on my way out the door, I brought her her first cup of coffee and woke her up.
She hated when I had vacation, and really hated when I went off to college lol

My days off are Monday and Thursday, Monday is big chore day and Thursday is little choreday
About once a month I get things set up so that a Thursday is practically no chore day
Sleep in? Nah, but I’ll take a nap

This is so unrealistic. Adam, you’re middle aged. I know from experience that you will have to get out of bed and pee urgently.

Adam just had the makings of a potential murder mystery there: “The Case of the Missing Husband Who Asked the Wrong Question”.

Adam, give it up. You gotta get up and pee sometime anyway.
