Of our 4 dogs, the one no one messes with is our biggest, a male. Any challenges he puts down; very gently. He rolls them over and straddles them. But he lets them get water and such first.
Our occasional visiting beagle left this morning having sneakily satisfied himself yesterday on a couple of the wife’s freshly made blueberry muffins. A real emergency would have been him calling about the look in her eyes when she found out.

I think that large dogs have a tendency to treat small dogs as puppies and sometimes go easier on them.
