Dreams shown in a comic strip cloud. So, in this dimension traits of the cardoodle universe are somehow even stronger. I wonder what else he’ll be able to do…
She can see what Wally’s dreaming? She’s certainly reacting to his dream and it’s not a good dream. Has Eye/I gotten its hooks into Wally from the time he was in Unity? And Kirbee and Chic, too? That would explain the attack in Eden. They were all tainted with Eye/I. Yuck. OUT, OUT damned Eye/I!
If “EYE” is somehow feeding off of the chaos it creates, then it has just discovered a huge source of food. Now, it has fully-awakened and is rushing towards it. It has manifested itself through Wally’s subconcious before (spider Jim thing) by using his dittos. It’s doing the same thing now…just not using a disguise, and showing its true form. Or not…guessing again. :-)
I think context is important. In the last few strips the so-called “god” entered the topsider world through Tim, and the massive topsider city’s main computer system through the diagnostics system, and is having a look at its future victims via the integrated security camera system.
We transition from the “eye” of the security camera (used by the so-called “god”) to the “eye” in Wally’s dream, suggesting a connection between the two. What that connection might be remains to be seen, but it appears that this eye did some travelling before arriving in Wally’s cartoon dream cloud, which the topsider can see.
The topsider with Wally is clearly disturbed, perhaps because she can see the dream cloud and its contents, or perhaps because she’s encountered that eye before, or perhaps because she was traumatised by Lord of the Rings as a child.
What I don’t get are the people who have followed this strip for more than a day, this strip that has historically demonstrated a propensity for ambitious, weighty story arcs and no small dalliances with surrealist imagery, who still expect any given four panel sequence to be a comprehensible chapter.
Looks like the inter-dimensional monster is invading Wally’s dream; what I don’t understand is that Dr Amesworth seems aware of his dream. BTW, I wonder if she is related to the Amesworth that discovered the disintegration ray?…
They probably can’t stop impending ocular doom. Corn on the cob broken up and strewn in its path won’t work, at least if someone named James does it. Everyone has probably heard “Jimmy crack corn, and Eye don’t care.”

Well, the evil came into Wally’s place when he was asleep. No walls or ceiling to creep down here.
But it may be that Doctor Amesworth is reacting to something else. Something seemed to be manifesting in the sky last time we saw them.
Which one of them has the “protection against haints”? Duffy or Wally?

I’m thinking the good doctor, experienced in interdimensional KaKa, has just been introduced to a whole new level of KaKa.

The dittos are able to connect to the different dimensions and communicate with Wally through his dreams..?

Hello Ted……..there’s only one way to stop it. Kill it. The only way to kill it is at it’s source….Marx must die.

Well, well, well, in-Comic confirmation: God+One+I=Eye.
But it feels….like a shell? Even as Marx described it, there’s something behind the eye, something that feels more “eldritchy.”
I like this arc. The information is flowing quite well at the moment.

Is Wally dreaming of The Eye or is The Eye watching Wally in his sleep?
