with my cousins (and their spouses and kids), it is sometimes hard to keep them straight when you don’t see them often… specially when they and I live in different states

Sadly most of my family only see each other at funerals.

I haven’t seen any of my cousins for over 50 years.

Well, cats do have 3 to 5 babies per pregnancy. That would get you a lot of cousins.

I haven’t seen any relatives since 2000 and I like it like that.

This sounds like my wife’s family. She has one brother and 27 half-brothers and sisters. Then there’s the aunts and uncles

In some families a lot of them will have the same name.

When I was a kid, my mom’s family had a reunion. 625+ and they knew how many removals for each cousin.

I was at my Mom In Laws family reunion several years ago and ran into one of my cousins there who had married one of of my MIL’s cousins sons, talk about weird.

Where there is a will, there is … a bunch of angry relatives arguing over who gets what.

I’ve been to 1 reunion this century. I’d planned to see mom this spring, but my job is shutting down & we won’t be able to go. :(
