Sluggo is snit.
I imagine librarians at work are moderately easy to identify.
Have kids really gone full singular “they”? Or would Sluggo ask “Where’s the other librarian?” or “Where is she?”
And just how big is this library anyway? ;) And if Sluggo can’t read signs, he might have trouble reading any of the books there.
(Yes, I overthink …)
Sluggo got Dewey Decimated…
Denver Public Libraries have signs above each librarian’s desk, “ask me for help.”
Sssssssssshhhhh! This is a library.
Maybe it would help if he brought her a shrubbery.
Sluggo should have asked one more question: “I’m going to apply for your job. I can do nothing too, but I’ll work for less than they’re paying you.”
Olivia! The strip is named “Nancy,” not “Nancy and Sluggo.” Three days without Nancy!
Hmmm. I am awfully damn glad the librarians I work with are not like this one. :) Mine are always very helpful and kind.
Poor Sluggo.
Maybe their library has entered L-space, and the stacks move around randomly. That’s why she can’t give directions, and why a non-fiction section is between two fiction sections.
Kind of a Bushmiller gag (which is fine), but Bushy would have had panel 4 Sluggo falling backward and his hat flying off.
I’m hearing Abbott and Costello here…
If he’s using “they” as singular, shouldn’t he say, “Where is they”?
