Oh no! I am so sorry to hear about Penny! I still cherish the picture you drew of my dog, and the way you drew your dogs was one of the things I’ve always loved most about your strip. Thank you for sharing her life with us.

Sorry to hear that. Even though I have two cats, I grew up with dogs. I know how it feels to lose a pet. Many years ago when I was a teenager, I saw our family dog die right in front of me. But she was old. And in the early 2000 decade, A friend of mine had a dog I was taking care of died right in front of my eyes. But he was 16. It’s no shame to admit that animals become a centerpiece in our lives. Trust me Dan, I definitely feel your loss!

Awww. Good way to commemorate 14 years of unconditional love and unquestioning companionship. Love the ones with the pooches in them, looking forward to them.

So sorry to hear of your loss of Penny Lane. It hurts like the devil every time one of our fur babies passes, but they add so much to our lives we’d be the worse without them. I live in hope of meeting my fur babies in the Dreaming when this life is done. We’ll go flying together. (Yes, they and we can have wings there, whenever we want. Considering I’m 67, I’m going to have my own furry flock.)

My combat vet friend lost his service dog to old age. It was like a family member passed. After grieving he got a new service dog through the VA. And …. it’s good to see him happy again. Sorry about your loss.

So sad. Dogs are have been a part of my life since a child. Our current pups are now 13 1/2 and 10. I’m 62, I don’t know if there will be anymore in my future after they are gone.
