The hive mind is all around us, and we are just a small part.

This “mind drain” was used back in Endtown. Jacob used it on the woman to learn the identity of all those eating the meat of others. She died in the process. As for our good doctor…..waiting for her to continue. If I were guessing so far she means all this going on is in the mind of one person. Much like what Wally experienced on the Fitzgerald…..the manifestation of Holly’s dead husband created by the ship having drawn him from Holly’s mind. Remember he interacted with Wally, Kirbee, and Chic. The Holly never reacted to their presence. But she was in control of him using him to get them out leaving her to die on her terms living a good alternative life. Ever see The Lathe of Heaven…….

The writing, the conceptual direction of Endtown has been pointing us in this direction for a long time, so that now we’ve reached the moment of blast-off, this is stratospherically brilliant. There are no missteps in Neathery’s twenty-year magnum opus. I’m thrilled to be part of the readership as it’s happening.

In other words, think of humanity as being made up of a bunch of apartments with really thin walls. And, the neighbors next door are screaming so loudly at each other at 3 AM that you can’t sleep.

Everything that was, is, or ever shall be, everything you can or cannot possibly see is merely a manifestation of electromagnetism, your slightest thought gives birth to worlds.

They don’t have theories. They have hypothesis. Big difference that gets confused in pop culture all the time.

So, this all has got me thinking, and I know no one will ever read this, years after everyone had read this already, But she said that the topsiders thought killing the Mutants was the way to protect themselves and eliminate the virus. But that can never work while they reuse the brains and collect pelts (as we learned the koala girl was doing). Seems the only way to be successful would be to dust the entire body.

Also seems if they believe this, see the personality as a kind of unique wave art, they would hold all life as deserving respect, and protect it
