It’s a good thing it didn’t work on his cowlick; he could’ve put someone’s eye out!

Without the wax, he looked like Yukon Cornelius from “Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer.” With spike-hair, that is.

Steam punk is what comes to mind in the last panel.

Mark - I’ve been a daily devotee of comics since I was a little guy enjoying (before I could read) the DC papers in the late 50’s.

I gotta tell you the tolerance, acceptance and encouragement between thewse two makes for one of the most heart warming father-son duos ever.

Thank you for sharing your remarkable talents with us.

Steampunk, Indeed. Give the boy a decent Death-ray, a set of Edwardian duds and he is complete.

    Now that’s a dad.

Also, the fact that they just happen to have a can of wax in the house might explain how Lio keeps his hair looking sharp (pun intended).

Remember the first time you shaved? Was there a blade in the razor?

I used to pluck, hoping it would come in faster. Now I keep it fairly neat on the equinox and solstice, and the wife likes it since it’s soft and cushy.

It’s only the first week or two after the decadal shave that’s stiff and scratchy. But I learned not to do that in Winter!
