cleo I’ll have you beat in the rain dept. pretty soon. It’s nice and sunny today, highs to get to 47, starting late tmr. into Friday, we will get at least 2.5 inches of rain maybe 3. They have already called a Flood Watch and it’s only Tues. so it is coming! Well rain is better than snow. but I think our chimney may start to leak with that much rain.
Yes, cleo, me too. But so far the chimney has only leaked twice, and it is in the laundry room. It drips down in one spot, can’t figure out where it is coming from for certain.,It’s dripping onto a concrete floor. This, if they are correc, will be a substantial amount of rain on top of melting snow.
I am having trouble with gocomics since my last post. When I made the post it took me to a page with a bunch of non-sense and I thought the comment didn’t post so I posted again and it took me to the same weird page. I refreshed the site and saw that both attempts posted. Then it would not let me remove the second post. I will see if the same thing happens now when I post this comment.
HEY CLEO! I’m just now going through the rest of my toons, did my favs before work, got as far as Calvin & Hobbes through the day at work. Then I have 3 days of comics.com and one of DailyInk to do yet. Good thing I can save them in my mailbox if I don’t get to them right away.
Costco sells wild salmon patties that are packaged by Trident that are excellent. I refuse to eat farmed salmon. Some fish that are farmed are fine, but salmon isn’t one of them. The only comics that I read are a select group here and some in my newspaper.
Dry was busy working on securing her house in case I chose to visit* on Christmas Eve. She is very prompt as Christmas is months and months away. By the way did you check the furnace ducts. I tend to be tenacious on finding my way to naughty girls homes. (You might suggest your hubby take a trip to visit relatives over Christmas Eve)
Trip to a point beyond Yakima to a job site to see how the wooden mats I rented out were doing. 600+ miles, round trip. Stood on ancient Indian burial ground, saw the wild mustang herd in Horse Heaven Hills just north of Goldendale east of hwy 97 and an overturned semi. Not much else happened today…..
And of course, you took pictures for me of the wild mustang herd, didn’t you JFRI? Your horse lover friend here, you did take pictures for me, didn’t you? Huh? Huh? Didn’t you?
Was the wild mustang herd the sculpture, or a real wild mustang herd?
That is a long drive JFri! That is much longer than I would choose to make in a day, but then again you are in the business and I like giving people the business. :-)
cleo, it was the REAL herd. The metal ones you are thinking of are up on I-90 near George by the Rattlesnake Hills. Dry, they were too far away to show up in a picture. I was watching them through my binoculars. And since when were you a horse lover?
When I said I wish I had a bigger place so I could have at least one horse, when I said I loved the Clydesdales and what a thrill it was to actually see them up close and personal, when I said I wish I had learned to ride. But I did forget to mention the horses at Assateague.
I used to spend my summers on my grandfather’s farm. A Clydesdale just simply stepped on my foot and I lost he nail. I love horses. I grew up with them, we had a horse to ride every summer, a quarter horse, and I loved riding him and just letting him meander along while I spaced out and enjoyed the ride.
When my kids were little I used to take them for a walk and there was a horse boarded near here, Her name was Beauty and she was a sweetheart. Along the way, in the late summer, there were some apple trees along the road. We would pick some along the way to see her and bring them to her. Other times, we always brought her carrots. My kids still remember her. She got old and her owner had to put her down, sadly. But I’ll tell you this, her name suited her to a T!
Dry Beware of flashing lights around your chimney. Tell your husband it’s very dedicated chimney repar men!
Tabby I’m glad you and I are good girls! I don’t want to be known as the naughty one one Flasher Santa’s list! It won’t look good when I am looking for work. :-D
OK, I DO remember the clydesdales but that doesn’t make you a horse lover, just a Budweiser fan! I have spent long days in the saddle riding the open BLM land!

Yo sigo una dieta equilibrada, una cerveza en una mano y nachos en el otro.
(I prefer a well balanced diet, a beer in one hand and nachos in the other.)
That is a lot of rain coming your way Dry, I hope the inside of your house stays dry.

Perhaps the flashing around your chimney needs some attention.
Me forget jalapenos, not on your life.

Flashing around my chimney? cleo, one of my neighbors may turn you in, you better be careful up there! :-D
Dry and Dusty Premium Member over 13 years ago
That is a good thought, the flashing may need some repair work.

I only flash around chimneys on Christmas Eve, Oops! Bet you didn’t know that I was Santa, did you?

Yep, I visit the homes of the naughty girls. I’d hate to have them feel left out.
Dry and Dusty Premium Member over 13 years ago
So that’s why you never visit my house?! Since I’m not a naughty girl. That is discrimination you know!
cleokaya over 13 years ago
No! I never visit naughty girl’s homes with potentially angry husbands.

As for visiting my chimney on Christmas Eve, all I have to say is “Chicken!” :-P

No Dry, I also had a Salmon Burger for lunch.
As for being chicken, not at all, merely prudent.
