Sometime ago I misplaced my phone and used the manufacturer’s (and it was the recommended) app to remotely lock the phone. A day or so later I traced down the phone. Took me a week to unlock it because no one online, on the phone numbers listed, or at any of multiple brick & mortar stores knew how to obtain a pin that the app never mentioned setting up in the FAQ or settings. I figured it out after combining snips of information and previous IT experiences (the info was found on only one website and even that was backwards). Who says that geezers are all not tech savvy?
Sorry I’m late, everybody. Was working at the grocery store until closing time and did some of the clean up after closing. Clocked out at 2345 and zonked out until 0030. At least it wasn’t as mayem-like as Saturday and Friday.
In other words, technologically impaired (Alfred Yankovic).
Pluggers are frightened of the strange little machine, and are worried that if they ask an expert how it works the expert will drain their bank accounts or spy on all their conversations, or something.

The little bit I know about technology is helpful to some but laughable on even a small scale to others!

Fortunately, my wife is 17 years younger and handles the new stuff.

That’s why I keep using a flip-phone. They’re not as complicated.

I’m older than dirt, but I’m more techie than anyone I know including my children and grandchildren. I can’t be the only one, can I?

I can still answer a flip-phone, (type) on a PC-keypad, and operate a four-slice toaster…and all within a 15-second time span of each of them…! ☺
