Damn, everyone is so wholesome, likeable, and All-American I might just barf. So is The Mayor a health nut, and he’s got some super protein juice shake or something? Maybe this will be a MLM-related story. Nah, that might be interesting.
Voting for the final region in round 1, The Gil Thorp Coaching Region, named for the last of the four missing Milford icons, is now open until Thursday night.

Note that in my game results I post here, the scores I give are from my imagination, based on the closeness of the voting. If you care what the real vote totals are, they can be seen in the brackets on the page above. For each matchup, on the very outside of the team name is the original ranking. On the other end is the number of votes they got for that game. For example, voting for Del Bader vs. Pelwicki/Burns was 29-3, and on the other side, Ransom Hale vs. Parker Bowen was 15-11.
Knox Foley vs. New Thayer Thugs: The Thugs got probably the worst draw possible, as their bullying techniques were ineffective against someone with connections to a law office. New Thayer was served with a cease and desist during the first media timeout and were forced to rely on their talent from then on. Which they did not have.
Knox Foley 80 – New Thayer Thugs 41
Ray Richey vs. Big Stuff Bobby Ottewell: Our top reporter, Steve Luhm, refused to attend this game, stating that he just purchased a new pair of glasses and didn’t want to risk them being anywhere near Ray Richey. We hear that “Big Stuff” appeared distracted the whole game, as he was caught waving to Darby Kiser’s three kids that were sitting courtside.
Ray Richey 88 – Big Stuff Bobby Ottewell 50
Scott Fowler vs. John Pascoe: John Pascoe was silent on offense this game. He also was silent on defense. Wearing his new peacock jersey, Scott Fowler dazzled all over the court and won easily. John Pascoe summarized the disappointment in his outing with an appropriate statement of, “ “.
In all reality, the Mayor and his bodyguards are off to school with the Mayor chugging his well balanced breakfast of vodka and orange juice recommended to him by his Uncle Marty.
Voting for this region is being turned off due to an error with the teams. I will need to restart the voting for this region from scratch. Will provide a new link this morning.
ATTENTION VOTERS!!!!!! IF YOU VOTED EARLIER TODAY, YOU NEED TO REVOTE!

IF YOU VOTED EARLIER TODAY, YOU NEED TO REVOTE! The original survey was turned off and discarded due to a team being duplicated from an earlier round, and one team being left out from the tournament.
I’d like to call a timeout and wish everybody a Happy April Fools Day! And speaking of fools, there are always plenty of fools to be found in Mopped Up Thorp.

Practice will be fun this afternoon when the Mayor finishes off his flask of gin, slides into second base, and upchucks all over Coach Kaz.

Apparently if you live in Milford you have to have a bowl of fruit on the counter. Do they last longer without refrigeration?
