The look on the old man’s face in the last panel makes me wonder about what relationship he may be to Olwen. Also the expression on the dark haired one is interesting.
Hmmmm, well, going by Morbis’ and Offal’s physical appearances, he is too old, short, fat, and bald to BE Silas…could he be Silas’ daddy? We have never seen or heard of Silas so questions abound. The two junior Nazi dumkoffs appears to be exasperated with the old one’s Hawker obsession.
I hope you never give up on this comic, Georgia. Swan Eaters might just be my very favorite comic strip of all time. I’m soooooo happy you brought it back! <3 <3 <3
I have to wonder if one of the 2 younger Nasties is really Silas (unbeknownst to anyone, having been lost in the woods as a toddler & adopted & raised by a “proper” family)…

Umm, NO, boss, obviously none of them meant anything. (Just keep that eyepatch on, okay?)

And who, pray tell, is Silas?
Where is this middle brother and will we see him at some point?

Three wee panels, stuffed to bursting with information, implication, intrigue, innuendo.
What a concise and brilliant little jewel… to scramble a metaphor.
How could anyone not to want more, more, more of this story?!

The Hawkers apparently don’t speak of Silas. Must be the white sheep of the family.

A Hawker stalker.

“Diseases & ills,” “man of the forest,” and “animal entrails.” Got to agree with the “white sheep” theory.

Hmmm….seems to have other motives for finding them, possibly a scorned suitor?

Silas? A Hawker we haven’t met yet? Interesting.

I love how much young Olwen looks like her grandaughters.
