Schroeder and Charlie Brown stand in the baseball field. It is raining hard. They face each other. Schroeder asks, "Notice anything peculiar?" "Not a thing!" Charlie Brown answers.<br> <br> Schroeder walks away: "I was afraid of that..."<br> <br> He walks back.<br> <br> Schroeder tries again: "It's starting to rain, Charlie Brown..."<br> <br> "Who cares? A little rain never hurt anybody!" Charlie Brown announces.<br> <br> "Y'gotta admire that Charlie Brown..he may be an idiot, but y'gotta admire him.." Schroeder concedes as he walks away.<br> <br> He walks back once more.<br> <br> "You're sure you don't wanna go home?" he asks.<br> <br> "Of course, I'm sure!!" Chrarlie Brown says angrily. <br> <br> "Just thought I'd ask, that's all..no harm in just asking.." Schroeder says as he sloshes through the rain.<br> <br> Schroeder walks back.<br> <br>"You know what, Charlie Brown?" he asks. <br> <br> "What?!" <br> <br> "I don't think the other team is going to show up.." Schroeder offers.<br> <br>

Funny in its day, but in this day and age, major league baseball will play in a downpour, fans be soaked.
