That’s nothing. I know a guy who didn’t cry at the ending of “Old Yeller.”

God, I HATE unhappy animal stories.

What not to cheer about? The guy brought food home to his hungry family.

You’d prefer he rooted for the cow and not eat? Same difference.

Two adults chose to watch “Bambi?” OK, two adult birds, but still.

My father-in-law said he loved to hunt when he was young. He felt he had to hunt for food, but didn’t enjoy it any more after he approached a wounded deer and heard it “crying like a child”.

The more times deer raid your garden, the less they seem like Disney characters.

Which proves that he DOES have a heart – it just goes out to different things than your own.

I watched Bambi and took it as an indictment of the crazies who will shoot at anything, not hunters in general. I don’t hunt, but I don’t have anything against them.

I watched Moby Dick and cheered for the whale.

Most deer hunters do not hunt the does, unless they are seriously trying to put food on the table or it’s a controlled hunt because the deer population has passed sustainable numbers (meaning the deer are starving due to their own numbers).
