You can’t win fighting a girl. When you beat her you are the meany who beats girls. And when she beats you you are the looser who got beat by a girl.

The quintessential example of what can happen to us when we actually dare to do something that ordinarily we cannot bring ourselves to do;in this case, something DRASTIC,and we pay the price for our dare by getting challenged and only end up regretting it in the end.

As I said in a previous post, this is why the character of Lucy is so repugnant. She’s a bully and a coward. She regularly assaults the boys, particularly Linus and Charlie Brown, trusting that the boys’ own reservation about hitting girls will keep them from retaliating. Lucy is unadulterated scum.

What makes Lucy think that it’s okay to hit a boy to?

I’m a woman, I don’t think girls/women should hit boys/men any more than the opposite and in fact I think if a woman slaps or hauls off and slugs a man she should expect to get slapped right back! I would hope that if the man is bigger/stronger (not all of them are) he’d temper himself and not put his all into the slap but I do believe the woman had it coming for hitting him 1st. Ideally no one should be hitting anyone!

A prime example of Lucy being an awful person. I’m sure she knew how much Charlie would be humiliated in this moment.
