Don’t worry. That sort of boss will soon have other distractions as he goes into politics with the dream of treating an entire country with that attitude. (sadly, I’m thinking of way too many countries right now to name just one…)

Don’t let this become an everyday occurrence.

True story: My company was purchased. New owners fired a whole bunch of factory guys who were making the most money. Got them together in conference room to explain that sometimes when you buy a company, you have to “get rid of the dead wood to make room for the new growth”. True statement. They were jackasses, I soon found another job.

Where I worked a file clerk cut her finger open on a loose staple. She was docked for the 10 minutes she spent in the nurses’ station.
