Campus Police once gave my roommate a ticket for “Driving with no purpose”. Didn’t have to go to Student Court over it, though – just showed it to the Campus Police Chief and asked “WTF”… and he tossed it.
In school I let a friend borrow my Italian sports car. On his way home he thought he would drive between the lights of the two motorcycles coming towards him. Turned out to be a squad car patrolling, and not two motorcycles. The police believed his story. He received a written warning.
