I remember working as a room service waiter at the Hyatt House Richmond Va. The head chef told me to go into one of the walk in refrigerators and bring out the bowl of boiled eggs that was in there. I looked for several minutes. I came out and said, “They’re not in there.” The chef gets pissed, comes over to the refrigerator, opens the door and, as if by magic, they are one of the first things near the entrance that he grabs. I couldn’t believe I missed them. From that point forward, when someone says get something out of the fridge, closet, freezer etc., and I can’t find it, I say, “I don’t see it.”
