I know this situation we are in is very serious (maybe). But I want to thank Off the Mark for entertaining me with work-from-home cartoons the past few weeks. With 2 cats and a spouse, my new four-legged co-workers have been a bit of a relief. And this cartoon makes me smile at time and laugh time. And today is true now (and always).
My biggest distraction is that we just opened the pool! I’m going to talk my boss into an extended lunch hour.
I wonder if he’ll be OK with my attending the afternoon staff meeting in a bathing suit and Hawaiian shirt.
I can work from home. I am also a contractor. Some days I have to put in 12 hours, on other days I am done with my work in 4 hours. My boss and I have an understanding: I work when my work is necessary and I can go off the clock when it is not. I did take an extended break yesterday and went outside to enjoy the sunshine.
I am tempted to move operations from desktop in my den to laptop next to the pool.
I have those exact pets. The brown dog and black cat both with white bellies. In variably, the cat would be there first, and then the dog will see the cat getting attention and immediately come over like “me too me too”. I have a second cat too, but he’s the quintessential “scaredy cat” and stays under the bed all day long.

LOL! Demanding, even though they don’t do any work themselves!

Yes, but does your boss at work, demanding or not, actually love you? Well, maybe in some cases, but it’s not typical.

At least at home I can improve my Performance Review by slipping my bosses some extra snackies.

Getting from the kitchen to my work station without tripping over 2 BIG German Shepherds doing exactly this? Minefield!

I wouldn’t call that a problem. In fact it’s less stressful.
