My mental archives have developed dry rot. And serious distortion. It’s very strange to find paperwork for something I remember doing years ago … and discover that my memory is not just wrong, but completely wrong.

I stole it from Mary Barra, who seems OK with the appropriation; the original art is hanging in her office. But I didn’t have to go to the archives or to General Motors headquarters for it; I keep the line fresh in my head full time. It’s a good one to live by. Especially if you feel like you’ve been living an awfully long time getting to a few too many things on the late side.

I planted an Elm sapling about 8 inches high in the back garden of my girlfriend’s mother 44 years ago.
Now it is absolutely gigantic, I’m proud of my “baby”.

I thought Mrs. Olsen said she was having a rough spring. Memory doesn’t make that go away. How would it help to start a journal?
Maybe Frazz should ask what’s been happening that’s rough. Like a normal human being.
