Kinda ironic with what’s happening?

Might have to settle for a virtual tournament today.

Or the “Lucy van Pelt’s a Jerk Tournament”?

I have a better idea. Let’s have a fundraiser for the “Let’s send Lucy on a one way ticket to Abu Dabi Fund”. ;D

Flu is probably just as debilitating as many other health problems and as equally difficult to cure…

Charlie Brown mentioned the Asian Flu in another strip. CB: I think I’m getting the Asian Flu. Lucy: The Asian Flu? That’s been over for six months! The Asian Flu! Everyone else got it six months ago, and he’s just getting it now! Ha ha ha! CB: I can’t even get sick right!

How did it become “Charlie Brown’s Flu Tournament” when it was clearly Schroeder’s idea?

That ain’t gonna end well.

Great idea. Should open up all sports and have full capacity games across the country to raise money for pandemic supplies.

Perhaps this……..In December 1972 reports began to circulate of cases of ‘London flu’ throughout the United States. ‘London flu’ was a particular form of influenza caused by an influenza virus which had apparently first been identified in India in 1971, but was first identified as a distinct strain in England early in 1972.

We could use some hopeful fundraisers. Exactly 5 years after this strip was first printed, my mother would be fighting a losing battle with cancer.

There were three named strains of the flu in 1973, the London flu, Hong Kong flu, and the swine flu. They didn’t lockdown as we have now, but there was some caution.

Toss Lucy somewhere and hope she can’t find her way home!

I think so Brain; but cottage cheese makes me gassy. (Just had to say it.) Still good to see the kids willing to give back. (I’m also right now watching a ‘Friends’ episode that has Rachel going to a fundraiser. Spooky.)
