Sadly, my late grandfather was like that when dementia started hitting. Not betting, but he’d call us up all excited about this game going on on ESPNClassic. :(
Reminds me of the time a brunette walked into a bar and sat down next to a blonde watching a basketball game on the TV. As the game came to a close it came down to a final set of free throws. The brunette turned to the blonde and said "I bet you $20 that he misses both shots and the blonde accepts.The blonde starts to pay the brunette the $20 after the player misses both free throws but the brunette refuses admitting that this was a replay of a game and having seen the game knew that both shots had been missed.The blonde reply was “so did I, but I can’t believe he missed it again”!Old jokes from an old man ;-). Neither to be taken seriously.
