Mildred should listen to Sonny. Grandpa Joe would surely be delighted to answer any questions his precious grandchildren would ask him. Even that kind of questions their parents try to avoid to answer.
Sonny does have a point. If there’s one thing that I’ve seen that’s consistent with the old and elderly, it’s that they’d love to have someone to talk to.

Mildred uses withering gaze! Sonny saves for half damage. Sonny uses moral face! But Mildred is immune, on account of having more hit dice than him.
But whatever they do, they’d better get in there before Granpa Joe’s incessant questions drive Cecile over the edge. She’s a toddler on the brink.
