This page was originally a Thursday strip. On Friday, a new Bobbins storyline, aptly named “More Bobbins Now”, started, and ran on Fridays and weekends for a while after this.
The first one featured Eustace “The Boy” Boyce and Neil “Mildred’s Dad” Haversham, who are now coworkers at the lab at the university, discussing The Boy’s half-hearted efforts to lose weight. As I mentioned yesterday, the SGR story where Mimi was first introduced followed The Boy on his exchange trip to France, where he and Mimi’s sister Elodie exposed a wendigo that was posing as the Easter Bunny.
Elodie is actually the one who gave The Boy his nickname… she couldn’t pronounce “Eustace” properly, so she started just calling him le garçon.
