So things got rearranged here. The top row of this strip was originally the bottom row of a three-row page, which was the last page of Part 2 of “The Case of the Modern Men”. The bottom row is new, added to fill out the page for publication. We’ll get the top two rows of the original page tomorrow.
All VW Beetles in the Tackleverse are yellow. Except for Esther’s, which was black. Apparently her gothic powers can overcome even the “all VW Bugs are secretly Bumblebee” effect.
We never do find out the clown’s story. Though the Solver story “Circus Windows” may be relevant. Or it may not be. But you should read it anyway. It’s got Lottie and Mildew in it.
