Linus sighs as he puts on his coat, grabs his lunch bag and walks toward the door.<BR><BR> Linus stands on the porch adn holds out his hand. He says, "Rain! Good grief!"<BR><BR> Linus trudges to school and says, "It's ridiculous for anyone to have to go to school when it's raining!"<BR><BR> Linus continues, "I should turn back . . . I'll get pneumonia walking in this rain . . . this is stupid . . ."<BR><BR> Linus stands on the corner and says, "I'll bet if I got pneumonia, they'd all be happy . . . I think they like to see kids walk to school in the rain . . ."<BR><BR> Linus says, "I really should turn back . . . I really should . . ."<BR><BR> Linus continues, "If I was a father, I'd never make my little boy walk to school in the rain . . ."<BR><BR> Linus says, "Education isn't as important as good health . . . I should turn back . . . Who cares about school anyway . . . This is . . ."<BR><BR> Linus sneezes loudly.<BR><BR> Linus turns and runs home and says, "That's what I was waiting for!!"<BR><BR>

I never used these items when waiting for the school bus, or trekking off to school after missing the bus.

If Mrs. Van Pelt is a stay-at-home mom, why can’t she drive him and Lucy to school? Unless they have just the one car, and their dad needs it for work. You’d think they’d make some other arrangements for inclement weather. Not even an umbrella?
