A few years back, I ate tuna every week or two, and would pour the leftover “juice” into my dog’s bowl. She soon came running any time she heard me use the hand-crank can opener. Over time, she would only come running when I opened the small tuna cans, but would ignore me opening regularly-sized cans – she could hear the difference between opening a small, tuna juice-yielding can and opening a regular can that offered her no benefit.

It’s also the same can opener he used to hear every single day.

Nowadays, my cats know the crinkling sound of the resealable pouch.

Hey, Scratch makes a comedic contribution! A big improvement over shoe-barfing and hairball gifts…

Mine don’t get excited hearing a can opener, but know foods coming when they hear the “click, whoosh” of the pop top can.

Yes, yes they do!
Good afternoon Crew!

The last electric can opener I used was avocado green, so it must have been at least 40 years old.

They should. They come running to check it out whenever it hums.
