Isn’t moss created by insect poop, which is why a rolling stone gathers no moss, the insects can’t catch it.

Something about wanting to watch more Tim Burton movies. Nailed it. Nailed it stone-cold dead.

Since moss gametophytes are autotrophic they require enough sunlight to perform photosynthesis. Shade tolerance varies by species, just as it does with higher plants. In most areas, mosses grow chiefly in moist, shaded areas, such as wooded areas and at the edges of streams, but they can grow anywhere in cool, humid, cloudy climates, like Long Island as we had a lot of moss in our backyard.

Fairies reading Gaiman. Katy Newman reading Puzo. The world is even stranger than I imagined. Happy Earth Day, you strange world you!

When Saucy the dog was still around, I’d have to go out in the morning and pick the mushrooms so she wouldn’t eat them.
