Lucy answers the phone and says, "Hello?"<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty says, "Hello, Lucille? Your kid brother just left here a few minutes ago . . . maybe you can watch for him so he doesn't get lost . . . yeah . . . he and that funny looking kid with the big nose."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty continues, "Yeah, he told me that whole ridiculous and impossible story about the 'Great Pumpkin' . . . That's the wildest story I've ever heard . . ."<BR><BR> Lucy tumbles backward as Peppermint Patty shouts through the phone, "But I believe it!!"<BR><BR>

Lucy,in closing panel:“In response to your comment,DROP DEAD!” This Schulz would have her saying, in a Lucy coloring book—which were among a series of several, on various Peanuts characters—that were made in the mid-1970s. Each cartoon would have what the Peanuts characters were saying, at the bottom. Just goes to show you, how old I am—45, to be exact.
