On this day in Peanuts history: the off-Broadway opening of the show “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” with songs written by Clark Gesner and directed by Joseph Hardy. The show starred Gary Burghoff (Charlie Brown), Bill Hinnant (Snoopy), Reva Rose (Lucy), Bob Balaban (Linus), Skip Hinnant (Schroeder), and Karen Johnson (“original” Patty).
