We got a new Sears washer/dryer set that came in blue boxes. Fun to play in, even in the rain … except the blue was not colorfast.
None of those big boxes survived the installation. But, I do still have the steel case that our first B/W TV came it. It supports my table saw.
We used to save those big boxes and use them as sleds in the winter.
But a refrigerator box was the grand prize!
The generation gap has never loomed so large.
