DMV in NY now has a number system. You check in, they make sure you have what you need, and you get a letter/number combo depending on the complexity of your transaction. The windows are set up for each, and they call the numbers. The last time I put a car on the road, it was during lunch hour, and I was in and out in 20 minutes. Although now, my license has expired, and I need to get an enhanced one and all the offices are closed, so we’ll see what happens when they open back up.
