Schroeder plays the piano. Lucy leans on the piano and asks, "Schroeder, what would happen if you and I got married someday, and I got tired of fixing your breakfast?"<BR><BR> Lucy continues, "I mean, what would happen if I decided I'd rather sleep in the morning?" Schroeder walks away and says, "I can't stand it . . ."<BR><BR> Snoopy walks toward the piano. Lucy says, "Say, for instance, I got tired of getting up every morning to fix your breakfast, and just suddenly decided I'd rather sleep late every morning . . ."<BR><BR> Snoopy sits at the piano. Lucy says, "I mean, what would your reaction be?"<BR><BR> Snoopy growls.<BR><BR> Snoopy walks away. Lucy frowns and says, "Well, perhaps I could sleep late on weekends . . ."<BR><BR>

Seems in strips like these, when Lucy would visualize her and Schroeder as husband and wife, Snoopy would be standing somewhere nearby, ready to take Schroeder’s place, at Lucy’s mention of marriage with Schroeder(his way of telling her,“Well, you might as well stop visualizing it, as it will never come true!”by having Snoopy surprise her, at the end.)

So as long as Snoopy doesn’t kiss Crabby, she can’t tell the difference between Schroeder and him?
