Our 16 year old dog was never afraid of the vacuum cleaner. I could just clean around her and she’d never even move. The puppy we have now leaves the room and comes back when I’m done. She does, however, like to bark at the rake.
Sophie’s braver than the family dog we used to have—she’d only dare attack the vacuum if it was facing away from her. Otherwise, she’d only turn tail and run away from it.

My first Dog Blackie just loved getting vacuumed with the upholstery brush. She would immediately jump up on the couch knowing that there was no excuse for her not to be there since she was clean.

All of our dogs were fine except Buddy Max in later years when he wasn’t feeling well.
