Poor guy. Doesn’t like Mac-n-cheese. That is crazy talk. (I like hamburger added to Mac-n-cheese. It’s even better when I mix in a can of no-beans chili.)

Hamburger Helper wasn’t bad, but Tuna Helper — UGH.

He doesn’t like mac and cheese? I’m so sorry, Mandy. Have you considered marriage counseling?

OMG….I didn’t know there was a person on earth that didn’t like Mac and Cheese! How is this possible???? I am referring to the homemade kind, not the stuff in the box. I like the idea of the hamburger too. I’m going to make some tonight! Hope Dan enjoys his cereal…Don’t get me wrong, Hamburger Helper is great if you don’t really cook. It just has to much sodium for me and doesn’t taste the same as what I grew up with.

I’m with you, Amanda, what Dan said makes no sense. Mac & cheese is my comfort food. I once made it for a potluck and one young girl there was so surprised – she didn’t know you could ‘make’ it, she thought it only came out of a box.

My husband wouldn’t allow Hamburger Helper in the house. Growing up, his mother made everything from ‘scratch’.

Maybe Dan should make his own hamburger helper.

Re the difference between yellow or orange and white cheddar cheese. The coloring agent is added to naturally white cheddar so that it has an even color throughout the year. The feed taht is provided the cows with vary with the season therefore the milk for the cheese varies some but few can taste the difference. The color is a visual preference. When it comes to taste, that is due to how low and how it is aged. The cheaper the milder, creamier and the younger. It is best for creamy recipes. The older, the crumblier, and better suited for cheese trays.
