I do not remember this story line from the original, so this is fun reading it for the first time. Pretty neat after all these years!

Susie has to be based on my ex-girlfriend of many, many years.

Together for more than a decade, and now separated for more than a decade. And we still have spirited conversations like that. I can’t figure out if we are friends, or not. We give each other a hard time, but run to help in a crisis.

LOL….hobbes point of view is always different from calvin’s!!!

Who could understand Calvin ,besides Hobbes. Hobbes got mushy feelings for Suzie making Calvins problems even more confusing . How can this strip keep getting bettor and bettor?

His replicant undoubtedly went to meet his maker.

Yeah, funny that the normally observant Suzie didn’t pick up on that.

So does the clone just disappear or will we see him again?

Calvin And Hobbes in the last panel cover my feelings exactly.

And of note, if Hobbes is Calvin’s imaginary friend and not real (hypothetically) than it shows that Calvin really does like girls, but keeps it suppressed.

Great strip. Calvin in his world and Susie in her’s and Hobbes on the side as well. Great strip. Couldn’t help but laugh.

The minds of men confuse me just as much!

Just how confused is Susie going to get ???

Poor Susie no matter how long Calvin lives near her she won’t understand him and well vice-versa for Calvin.

Rodney - your post was gave me a better laugh than the cartoon….how does that old song go…” sometimes I think I will and then again I think I won’t, and then again I think I will and then I think I don’t.” Or a reasonable facsimile thereof….

I’m sure it will come around, but my favorite Calvin line is when he tells his mother “I let my mind wander, and it didn’t come back”.

Teresa: My son got me a shirt that glows in blue light that reads: the little men who live behind my eyes …and scream directly at my brain…told me to tell you Hello. He told me he saw it at the mall and thought of me! I love it. I wore it to my 25th Class Reunion! It was a real icebreaker! I’ve worn it a few times to my workout classes. It reminds me of Calvin and of course myself!

They don’t need as much to make sense, they smell better.
