Hi, Hobbes (The Poster) - this illustrates the amateur Jungian analysis I threw at you yesterday, very late in the game. I won’t bore you or others with saying more in detail, but I’m fascinated at the way this pair uses their thought processes in the very archetypes you’d expect from their personality types.
Bill Watterman was incredibly observant about human (and feline) nature. And, of course, when he learned how to draw dinosaurs well, his humor went off the scale.
@Hobbes with reference to your final post yesterday, they say a picture paints a thousand words. With the amount of words you have posted here, we could conversely assume that for every thousand of your words, you have supplied us with a picture of yourself.
By now you must have painted us a several hundred pictures. Hence your life is now laid bare to the psycho-analytical types amongst us. I on the other hand being of lazier inclinations will just await to read their conclusions ;)
Have a great day everyone, I’m out to enjoy the sun. Oh and morning Marg and all the other regulars.
Yeah, that’s why I always put a little picture next to every thousand of my words. :>)
I think Marg’s egg photos were worth far more than a thousand. Sorry I didn’t get to see them all. Looks like there are only two still remaining. I must have missed a major salmonella scare last week.
The nice thing about comics is that we can ascribe our own attributes to voices, especially, and enjoy the commentary as we wish. They ruined Peanuts when it went video, in my estimation, and Dennis the Menace … ! Comics aren’t meant to reflect real people; they are a commentary on life, sometimes, a very astute commentary. That’s enough of the lecture.

Of course–they are guys. When playing a game, and there’s a dispute, the game stops until the rules are sorted out, or a new special rule is adopted. Girls tend to be less competitive, and will talk more to share stories and other “friendly” stuff.
Soprano, is usually the melody, which in Barbershop singing, is called the “lead”. That is the most important voice, the rest, are just the supporting cast. Sorry Hobbes!
I wonder how many people recognized your reference. I’m trying to remember if it’s from the House production company, or another one. (The “Hat the guy’s wearing looks more like a shower cap with earflaps to me!)
Lewreader, I didn’t last long in the church choir either. But being that I was there under duress, I was happy to get out of there and climb trees and build forts like Calvin.
Our forts were HUGE underground complexes. We had to stop building them when my younger brothers’ fort caved in and one of their friends was buried alive.

Hey comicgos and cleokaya
Marg is 4th today, after the three of us. But if we delete our comments and repost them, we can make her first!

Hobbes, no need to do so. We all get our chance to say something, and that’s what matters.

♪♫ Who’s the leader of the club that’s made for you and me? ♫♪
(“Mickey Mouse Club” theme song, which fits Calvin and Hobbes today.)
Calvin thinks he’s a million times more important than Hobbes? Sounds like a G.R.O.S.S. exaggeration.

Hi Marg
I was just trying to make you the “leader of the club” for today, since you deserve it. By the way, am I a little late in saying, “nice egg photos?”

I don’t think anything productive will come of this, unless Hobbes is considering overthrowing the dictatorship.

Calvin’s voice is so high-pitched, it’s no wonder he can’t hit the ball when he throws it up. BTW, when Calvin throws it up, he doesn’t vomit it!
Puddleglum2 over 13 years ago
If you keep hollering, Calvin, you might get a ‘hoarse’ voice …neigh, neigh!

How old is Calvin now? At this rate he will never reach puberty!

Calvin sure has many issues. Hobbes sure knows what buttons to push to set him off. It’s great stuff.
