In terms of our affection for the characters, this strip has become the Peanuts and the Calvin & Hobbes of our days.

Will can do a lot with a few lines…like that bird.

There’s an owl that wakes me up almost every night, and I don’t mind. I love to lie there and listen to it hooting.

This is SO me… A catbird showed up in my garden a few days ago and we had a similar conversation. LOVE me my birds!!!

Mrs. Bakers always looks at me weird when I whistle back to the birds.

I’ve actually tried this before. My efforts are hindered partly by the fact that I’m not really that great a whistler…but every now and then I do get a bird call responding back.

And do we all know why birds sing?
