I’ll stick with the Grand Canyon than that underwater canyon.

While walking down the street and to see an abandoned pair near the curb, one wonders “How did that happen?”

From memory, therefore only an approximate quote from Dave Barry about the writing of his humorous newspaper columns…

When writing humor, it is important to save the funniest word for the end of your sentence underpants.

[Concluding unscientific postscript: My keyboard sometimes generates random letters while I’m posting. Just now, proofreading the quote above, I had to delete three random letters that popped up between “word” and “for”. The Haha gods stuck “BVDS” in that spot!!! No lie!]

Do you have to get another headstone when the QR Code points to a dead link?

No. YOU can get that QR code headstone. I’m getting dumped off by the jersey wall on I 95.

Considering the size of the canyon, it is expected to be seen from space.Nothing unbelievable about it.

Zhemchug Canyon was likely created by an object from space so it is fitting it can be seen from there. I’ll bet that made a big splash when it hit!

And in 50 years when holograms have replaced QR code’s, people will be looking at those headstones and scratching their heads.

snipped from free and reliable wikiwiki..

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhemchug_Canyon

    > Zhemchug Canyon is deeper than the Grand Canyon which is 6,093 feet or 1,857 meters deep.2

    > It [ZC] has two main branches, each larger than typical continental margin canyons such as the Monterey Canyon. ]

    > What makes the Zhemchug Canyon the world’s largest is not only its great depth, but its immense cross-sectional and drainage area, (11,350 km2) and volume (5800 km3).1

Now I’m wondering what the difference is between a ‘canyon’ and a ‘trench’…?

So what happens to a “living headstone” when the technology becomes obsolete? Nobody can just read a QR code. At least I can read the writing on the headstones of ancestors from 200 years ago!
